OnePlus Rolls Out OxygenOS 4.5.2 Update For OnePlus 5

OnePlus has announced that there is a new OxygenOS update being rolled out globally to all the OnePlus 5 users. It features build number A5000_22_170624. This update will bring the version of OxygenOS up to 4.5.2 and the major focus with this update is to fix some bugs and improve the stability of the system.

As far as bugs are concerned, OnePlus tells us that this new update will resolve an application installation bug, as well as system update failure bug.The update is available over-the-air, but it might need some time to reach all devices. You can check for it manually by going to Settings > System updates. As always, make sure that your phone is sufficiently charged before proceeding with the patch.

Since some user are experiencing a system update failure bug, you may not be able to accept the OTA update to fix it. Instead, you may need to sideload the OTA update or flash a TWRP Compatible ZIP of the update.OnePlus also says this new OxygenOS update to version 4.5.2 also comes with some optimizations as well.

There were some changes made to improve the stability of Bluetooth and network connectivity as well as various system stability changes.

Because of the absence of electronic image stabilisation in 4K videos on the OnePlus 5, handheld videos appear very shaky, as reported by early adopters and reviewers. OnePlus has confirmed on an AMA hosted on Reddit that the device will receive EIS for 4K videos in a future update.

To recall, the OnePlus 5 gets several additions on the software front, thanks to the latest version of OxygenOS used by the company compared to the OnePlus 3T. These additions include features like App Priority, Reading Mode, Expanded Screenshots, Translucent App Drawer, Auto Night Mode, Off-Screen Gestures, Customizable Vibrations, Gaming DND Mode, and Secure Box.
