Indian smartphone maker Micromax has launched another affordable 4G phone in its Bharat series, dubbed as the Bharat 5. The phone comes with the tagline “Power of 5” and most of its features are related to the number 5 like the 5000mAh battery, 5MP front and rear cameras and interestingly, the device is priced at Rs. 5,555.
Micromax had earlier launched three affordable phones in it’s Bharat series- Bharat 2+, Bharat 3 and Bharat 4. Now, the Bharat 5 is the successor to that series. The phone packs similar specs like the Bharat 4, except it’s bigger battery. It also comes with 50GB extra data offer from Vodafone.
Micromax Bharat 5 Specifications
Micromax Bharat 5 packs a 5.2 inches HD (720 X 1280 pixels) display. The dual-SIM phone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat. The phone supports 22 regional Indian languages.
Powering the phone is a quad-core MediaTek processor. Memory wise, it packs 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage which is expandable with a microSD card up to 64GB.
For imaging, the phone packs a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and Bokeh mode. Up front, there is another 5MP camera with LED flash. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB 2.0, 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio.
The biggest highlight of the phone is its massive 5,000mAh battery, which the company claims will offer 500 hrs of standby time. It also comes with OTG support, so you can use it as a power bank as well.
Micromax Bharat 5 Price and launch offer
The Micromax Bharat 5 has been priced at Rs. 5,555. The phone will be available starting December 5 from offline stores across the country.
The phone comes with an exciting offer from Vodafone under their partnership program. The new Bharat 5 will come bundled with extra 50GB Vodafone data. The subscribers on recharging with 1GB data pack will get extra 10GB data every month for 5 months.
