Huawei sub-brand Honor is tipped to announce the Honor 9 Lite mid-range smartphone on December 21. Now, this pre-Christmas launch might be Honor’s treat to the fans and we expect it to come with the festive pre-launch offers too.
While the Huawei Enjoy 7S is also expected to be announced on 17 December, there is a possibility for the Honor 9 Lite to be launched right after that. The device is tipped to come with 18:9 aspect ratio display, dual front and rear cameras and a Kirin processor.
Honor 9 Lite Specifications
After the successful launch and sale of the Honor 9i, the company may soon unveil the Honor 9 Lite. The device is expected to feature a 5.65-inch IPS LCD panel with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080p) resolution, with an 18:9 aspect ratio.
In terms of optics, the Honor 9 Lite is tipped to feature dual cameras at the back as well as the front. The rear cameras, as well as the front-facing cameras, are tipped to be 13MP + 2MP dual lenses. The front camera may also come with a soft selfie flash.
Coming to hardware, the device is expected to feature the company’s in-house Kirin 659 octa-core processor coupled with MaliT830-MP2 GPU. To compliment this combination, the Honor 9 Lite may sport 4GB RAM with 32GB and 64GB storage variants. You may also get up to 256GB expandable memory option via microSD card.
The device may run Android 8.0 Oreo with Honor’s optimized EMUI on top. All the Honor devices come with EMUI which is an optimized skin for their Android devices lineup. It is an AI-based adaptive user interface which ensures a fluid user experience.
Lastly, TENAA listings showed the Honor 9 Lite featuring a 3,000 mAh battery with WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, and a 3.5 earphone jack as the standard connectivity options. The renders of the smartphones show it in greay color, and a poster of the phone is also leaked.
