The upcoming flagship from HMD Global, the Nokia 9 has just passed the FCC certification, revealing key features in its listing. Since it is certified now, we can expect to see the next Nokia flagship in early 2018.
The FCC listings unveil key specifications of the upcoming Nokia 9. We can see that this will be the first Nokia phone to sport an OLED display from LG. Apart from this, details like the processor, RAM and storage are also out. The listings even reveal the dual camera setup on the HMD Global led Nokia’s next flagship.

Starting with the display, the listings show that the Nokia 9 will come with a 5.5-inch OLED display. We can expect this to be a Quad HD+ panel. Also, it is stated that the phone will feature an LG made display.
In terms of optics, we now know that there will be a 12MP + 13MP dual camera setup on the phone. However, the combination of this setup is yet to be revealed, but some leaks suggest that it could be a Telephoto + Wide angle lens combination. The listings unveil that the phone is sporting a Snapdragon 835 processor. While it is a good processor, we would be happier to see the Snapdragon 845 on the Nokia 9.
Coming to storage and RAM, the device is tipped to feature 128GB UFS 2.1 storage from Samsung. While a microSD card slot should also be there, this much storage will be sufficient for most of us.
Since HMD Global has succeeded so far in providing fast updates, we can expect the same for their upcoming phones. It will be safe to say that the Nokia 9 will run Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. We can say so as Nokia is already rolling out beta updates to Android Oreo for their handsets.
Lastly, the FCC listings of the Nokia 9 reveal a 3,250 mAh battery with support for fast charging like other Nokia smartphones. We can expect it to release in early 2018.
