Bharti Airtel in partnership with Celkon has introduced a new smartphone dubbed as Star 4G+. Airtel is offering the phone at an effective price of just Rs. 1,249 under it’s ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone’ initiative. The operator has also launched several other affordable 4G phones along with its partners.
Earlier, under the ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone’ initiative, Airtel had collaborated with domestic makers such as Intex and Karbonn to offer 4G smartphones with cashback. The Celkon Star 4G + is the second device from Celkon under the partnership, as they had also launched a 4G phone earlier. Star 4G+ is a touchscreen 4G smartphone which has a current market price of approx. Rs 2,999.
How to avail Airtel Cashback
To avail of this offer, Airtel customers have to make a down payment of Rs. 2,749 and make 36 continuous monthly recharges of Rs. 169. They will get a refund of Rs. 500 after 18 months and another Rs. 1,000 after 36 months. Thus, the total cash benefit is of Rs. 1,500, making the effective price of the device Rs. 1,249.
If they do not want to recharge with Rs 169 plan, they can do recharges of any amount and validity as per their requirements. However, recharges should be worth Rs. 3,000 minimum within the first 18 months to claim the first cashback of Rs. 500 and another Rs. 3,000 within the next 18 months to claim the second cashback of Rs. 1,000.
The 4G smartphone is completely owned by the customers and there is no need to return it at any point to claim the cash refund benefit.
Celkon Star 4G+ Specifications
Celkon Star 4G+ features a 4-inch display and runs Android v6.0 (Marshmallow). The phone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 512MB RAM and 4GB storage which is expandable up to 32GB. The phone sports a 3.2MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera.
The 4G smartphone offers full access to all Android apps on the Play Store, including YouTube, Facebook, and WhatsApp. It comes preloaded with MyAirtel App, Wynk Music, and Airtel TV. The phone is available at all leading mobile stores along with the offer.
