HMD Global to launch Nokia E71 (2018) with QWERTY keyboard soon

HMD Global is planning to launch a new 4G enabled Nokia feature phone soon as per recent reports. The Nokia phones have already got the all necessary certification from FCC and Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). As of nothing is official about the upcoming Nokia feature phone, however, reports also claim that it could be Nokia E71 (2018).

Going by the earlier reports, HMD Global has scheduled a launch event in China on January 19 to unveil its flagship Nokia 9 and perhaps the Nokia 6 (2018) as well. Now, according to the reports, Nokia may also launch a 4G feature phone as well on the same event.

As per Bluetooth SIG certification, the new Nokia feature phone comes with model numbers- TA-1047, TA-1060, TA-1056, TA-1079 and TA-1066. So, the upcoming Nokia 4G feature phone might come in five variants in different markets. Also, two phones with model numbers TA-1047 and TA-1060 have got the approval from Federal Communications Commission (FCC) as well.

Apart from these certifications, new information from MyDrivers suggests that the upcoming Nokia 4G feature phone from HMD Global could be the revamped version of the Nokia E71 Qwerty keyboard enabled phone which was introduced back in 2008.


Nokia E71 (2018) Specifications

As per the report, the Nokia E71 (2018) is expected to feature a 3.5-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480p. The phone is supposed to be powered by a Snapdragon 205 chipset by Qualcomm which is designed to bring 4G LTE on feature phones.

Further, the Nokia E71 (2018) will come with 1GB RAM and expected to feature 8GB internal storage with microSD card slot support. It is likely to sport a rear-mounted camera of 3MP resolution. The phone is expected to arrive in single-SIM and dual-SIM options in different markets.

As of now, there is no official confirmation from HMD Global on the development of the Nokia E71 (2018), but it could probably debut alongside the Nokia 9 and Nokia 6 (2018).
