Xiaomi introduces Mi Service Order Status: Track your device status online

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has just announced a new feature to improve the experience of customers who want to get their devices repaired. Now, you can check the service status of your Xiaomi smartphone online in some simple steps, without having to make any calls or wait in any queues.

Earlier, some people had a poor experience with Xiaomi repair services. However, the company now has a vast network of repair centers and you can locate them here. With an aggressive expansion plan in India, Xiaomi will now provide online status updates for your smartphone’s repair. The company is calling it the Mi Service Order Status. Here is how to check the status.

Mi Service Order Status

If you own a Xiaomi device that you have given for repair, you can now check the service status of your smartphone online on mi.com. In a couple of simple steps, you can get an accurate update about the work status on your phone.

All you need to do is go to the repair status page of the company and enter your contact/order/service/IMEI/Sn No. After this, just confirm the details to get an OTP on your phone number and check your device status.

The company has bifurcated the status into various terms to ease the process. If you see the status ‘Under Inspection’, it means your device is being checked. You will see ‘Work in Progress’ when your device is being repaired, and ‘Ready for delivery’ when the phone is repaired. When your phone is delivered, the status will say ‘Delivered’ and it displays ‘Cancelled’ if you cancel the service order.

While this is a welcome move from Xiaomi, the service speed will also matter. Putting the service status online will allow you to easily track your service request and it also removs the need to make calls to service centers again and again.
