OnePlus 5T OxygenOS update brings assistive lighting for face unlock

OnePlus 5T has received a new OxygenOS update which comes with several significant improvements in camera and system. The OxygenOS version 4.7.6 is the latest update which comes few weeks after the previous update that brought several improvements.

The latest update from OnePlus brings camera optimizations including better selfie in low light and performance improvements for 3rd party camera apps. It also adds assistive lighting for face unlock feature. You can check out the complete changelog of the OxygenOS 4.7.6 update below.

OxygenOS 4.7.6 features

In the camera department, the OxygenOS 4.7.6 update brings stability improvements, clarity improvements for the selfie camera in low light and performance improvements for 3rd party camera apps. So, the dual camera on OnePlus 5T will also perform well when you use it via any third-party app.

If we talk about system improvements, it has added assistive lighting for face unlock which will be quite useful for the feature to work in low light conditions. The assistive light feature can be enabled from the face unlock settings.

Additionally, the update also brings improvements for expanded screenshot and Wi-Fi display. Notably, the update comes with Android security patch for the month of December.

The OnePlus 5T OxygenOS 4.7.6 update is 86 MB in size. The update is gradually rolling out to all users. The company has also promised that the Android Oreo beta testing for the 5T will begin by the end of December. So, we can expect the Oreo beta for the OnePlus 5T by the end of this week.
