Indian smartphone maker Micromax will soon add a new smartphone, the Micromax Bharat 5 Plus as an affordable device with a big battery. While it comes with similar specifications to another device in the lineup, it comes with more RAM.
The company has already started teasing the phone on their social media platforms. This is expected to be another budget smartphone from Micromax. While there is no word about bundled data offers, the USP of the phone is the big 5,000mAh battery.
Micromax Bharat 5 Plus Specifications
While the device is yet to be launched, it is already listed on the company’s online store and is being promoted on social media. The Micromax Bharat 5 Plus features a 5.2 inch IPS LCD panel with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. There is no mention of curved glass or protective glass.
Coming to the optics, the phone features an 8MP primary camera assisted with an LED flash. On the front, the device comes with a 5MP secondary camera with a 83.3 degree wide-angle lens. While these are decent specifications on paper, the performance can only be tested once the device is launched.
In terms of hardware, the phone is equipped with a quad-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.3GHz. This processor is coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box, with the company’s custom UI skinned on top.
Backed by a 5,000 mAh battery, the phone will surely have an impressive battery life. It is a dual SIM 4G VoLTE smartphone that comes with a Micro USB port, 3.5mm audio jack, WiFi, and Bluetooth as standard connectivity options. It is expected to come only in Black color option.
