HTC U11 EYEs with dual front cameras could be announced on January 15

The HTC U11 EYEs is expected to be released next week in China. The device will feature a 5.99 inch full view display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is a selfie-centric mid-range smartphone and will go on sale in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan on January 17.

Chinese media has received invitations to an HTC event which mentioned the word “Eye”. The event is scheduled for January 15 and the rumours have revealed that the HTC U11 EYEs will be going on sale from January 17 in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

The HTC U11 EYEs is expected to be a mid-range smartphone that will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor. Additionally, the processor is expected to be coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory.

The device is expected to come with a 5.99 inch display with thin bezels around the display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone is reported to be powered by a 3,930mAh battery to provide a sufficient standby time.


The leaked images have revealed that the device will come with a dual camera setup at the front and a single camera with a dual LED flash at the back. Additionally, a second variant is also expected to be launched at the event. The second variant will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and both the editions will run on Android 7.0 Nougat.

The HTC U11 EYEs is expected to be priced at 3,299 yuan and will be available in Black, Silver and Red colors. The availability of this smartphone is still not clear.
