Samsung Galaxy S9 retail box leaked, full specifications revealed

The next flagship from Korean smartphone maker Samsung, the Samsung Galaxy S9 has received a major leak as the retail box image is out. Not just the box, we get to see some of the key specifications of Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ is expected to launch at the MWC 2018 in Barcelona next month, some major leaks have surfaced over the last few weeks. It is tipped to feature the same infinity display as its predecessor, but with a more refined design. Here is everything we know about the next big thing from Samsung.

After the release of infinity display on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Note 8, the fans are now awaiting the Samsung Galaxy S9. Thanks to the leaked retail box, we now know that the device will come with a 5.8-inch form factor and a 5.6-inch display. This will be a Quad HD+ sAMOLED (Super AMOLED) panel from Samsung.

Optics of the phone include dual 12MP rear cameras with Dual Pixel technology. According to the leaks, the primary lens will have an f/1.5 aperture while the secondary camera will come with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front, the Galaxy S9 is reported to feature an 8MP selfie camera with Autofocus.


While the processor on the Samsung Galaxy S9 is known to be the Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810 SoC, the RAM is also out now. The leaked retail box reads 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage. We can expect a microSD card slot on the device.

Among other features, it is also shown featuring an IP68 water-resistant body with wireless charging capabilities. It is coming with an Iris Scanner and Stereo speakers tuned by AKG. Like its predecessor, this phone is also coming with AKG tuned earphones in the box.

Most leaks point to the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S9 at the MWC 2018, however accurate pricing details are not known yet.
