WhatsApp will soon allow you to add 3 people in a video call

Popular messaging app WhatsApp is working on another interesting update that will allow users to add up to three people in a video call. Initially, this feature will be available for Android users only and there is no word when this feature will be available to iPhone and Windows Phone users.

According to WABetaInfo, the new feature will be coming with Beta version 2.18.39 that might come anytime. Currently, if you are on a video call with someone then you cannot add any other person. This feature will allow you to add up to three people in an ongoing video call which makes the total four persons in a single conference call.

How will it work?

If you are in a video call with a person then you will get an ‘Add Person’ icon in the top right corner of the calling screen. As of now, it is not yet clear whether this feature will work with voice calls also or it will be limited to video calls only.

However, now it comes as the addition of members in a video call that will be an interesting feature and will increase video calling usage on the platform. WhatsApp might be looking forward to competing with Skype with this feature.

Recently, WhatsApp had launched its WhatsApp Business app for small businesses. Using this, businesses can communicate better with their customers. The Facebook-owned company recently announced that WhatsApp now has over 1.5 billion active users who exchange up to 60 billion messages daily.
