Asus is gearing up to launch it’s Zenfone 5 series at the MWC 2018 later this month and the company has also sent out invites for the same. Earlier, a leak of the Zenfone 5 had surfaced online and now, the specifications of the Zenfone 5 Lite have surfaced online. Asus has a tradition of launching at least three phones at a time, so the leaks surrounding the Zenfone 5 Lite may be legit.
The Asus Zenfone 5 Lite variant in press shots was spotted by leakster Evan Blass. According to the leak, the Zenfone 5 Lite is said to feature dual front and rear cameras with 20MP on the front and 16MP setup on the rear. The Zenfone 5 Lite will also sport a Full HD+ display with curved edges. Earlier, the Asus Zenfone 5 leak had also suggested that Asus is going with an 18:9 aspect ratio with curved edges display.

Now, coming to the Zenfone 5 Lite, it is expected to feature a 6-inch FHD+ display with minimum bezels. The design of phone has also been leaked with the press shot. There is a fingerprint sensor below the camera module.
Talking about the specs, as per the Geekbench results, the Zenfone 5 is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Octa-Core processor coupled with 3GB RAM. Since this is the Lite variant, it is also expected to feature the same hardware, but will have different camera specs.

As mentioned, the Zenfone 5 Lite is said to feature dual cameras both at the rear and at the front. It will have dual rear cameras with 16MP sensors and on the front, it will have 20MP sensors. It is expected to run on Android 8.0 Oreo.
The Asus MWC 2018 event is scheduled to take place on February 27. Asus launches three to four smartphones in its Zenfone series, so we can expect at least 3 models of the Zenfone 5 as well. There could be a regular variant, a plus variant, and a selfie-centric variant.
