LG Judy leaked ahead of launch: Snapdragon 845, 6.1-inch display and more

Korean smartphone maker LG’s next smartphone, codenamed LG Judy has been leaked online, revealing possible specifications and launch plans. After LG V30’s success, LG is now planning to release yet another flagship smartphone which is expected to succeed the LG G6. LG earlier this week said that it will release a new variant in its V series called the LG V30s and now we have new rumors about a new smartphone with the codename Judy.

The LG G7 launch was expected from the company at MWC 2018 but reports suggested that there will be a delay in the reveal of the LG G7. It is expected that the device will now arrive in June this year and may not be called LG G7.

As reported by VentureBeat, LG will add a 6.1-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio in the smartphone codenamed as Judy. It will use MLCD+ technology which will provide brightness as high as 800-nit and will consume much less power than typical LCD panel.

Apart from the display, the smartphone is claimed to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Soc with 4GB RAM. The device is expected to come with dual 16MP sensor at the rear with f/1.6 aperture size.

The LG Judy is expected to come with 64GB internal storage and will feature IP68 rated dust and water protection. Additionally, the device is also expected to come with stereo speakers, HDR support, wireless charging and a voice assistant. The camera will also feature AI technology from the upcoming LG V30s smartphone.

The LG Judy is going to be the successor to the LG G6 and will not be named as LG G7, according to the rumors. Last month, LG had confirmed that the LG G7 is on the way to get revealed and will get released “when the time is right.”
