Nokia 7 Plus fresh images leaked ahead of launch at MWC 2018

HMD Global-led Nokia is all set for its keynote event at Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona. The company is expected to unveil several smartphones at the event and one of them is Nokia 7 Plus. We have already seen several leaks around it in the past, and now some more press images of the upcoming smartphone have surfaced online.

The fresh image renders of the Nokia 7 Plus have been leaked in Black and White color variants on Chinese social media platform Baidu. The renders show a dual camera setup with a Carl Zeiss lens, dual LED flash on the back, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The display also seems in 18:9 aspect ratio with thin bezels on the front. Earlier, tipster Evan Blass had posted similar renders of the Nokia 7 Plus.

The previous rumors and the Geekbench listing of the device had revealed most of its specifications. The Nokia 7 Plus is expected to feature a 6 inch full HD+ (2160 × 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla glass protection.

Hardware wise, the Nokia 7 Plus will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with Adreno 512 GPU. Memory wise it is expected to come with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which will be expandable up to 128GB with microSD.


The phone will sport a dual camera setup at the rear with a 12 + 13MP rear dual camera setup with ZEISS Optics, and features like 2X optical zoom and dual-tone LED flash. Up front, there will be a 16MP camera with ZEISS optics, f/2.0 aperture, and Tetracell technology.

As revealed by earlier leaks, the device will run on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Connectivity options will include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. There is also a rear mounted Fingerprint sensor.

Apart from the Nokia 7 Plus, the company might also launch the entry-level Nokia 1, the flagship Nokia 9 and the Nokia 4 at the MWC 2018 next week. Stay tuned for complete coverage of the event.
