You can now pre-order the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 from offline stores at just Rs. 2,000

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has now made their latest offering, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 available for offline pre-booking from Xiaomi partner stores. The company is expected to start delivering the device from March 8.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, sold exclusively from Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home Stores is now available for pre-orders from offline stores. You can pre-book the Redmi Note 5 from Mi Partner Stores at a booking amount of Rs. 2,000. However, there is no information as to when the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro will be available for offline purchase.

It must be noted that you will be charged an additional Rs. 500 above the existing prices of the device. For example, the 32GB storage variant of Redmi Note 5 that is available for Rs. 9,999 online will be available for Rs. 10,499 offline.

For the uninitiated, the Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro were launched last month by Xiaomi here in India.


Starting with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, the device features a 5.99-inch IPS-LCD display with full HD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone features a 12MP camera on the back with an aperture of f/2.2, PDAF and dual tone dual LED flash.

On the front, the phone comes with a 5MP camera with a selfie LED flash. Backed by a Snapdragon 625 SoC, the phone gets 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage. The Redmi Note 5 packs a massive 4,000mAh battery to power the phone.

Talking about the bigger Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, the device packs a similar 5.99-inch display as its smaller sibling. However, this one comes with a dual camera at the back, featuring a 12MP + 5MP setup for depth effect. You also get a 20MP camera at the front. The Redmi Note 5 Pro is equipped with a Snapdragon 636 coupled with Adreno 509 GPU. This combination is backed by two variants i.e. 4GB/64GB and 6GB/64GB.

Pricing and Availability

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro are available for online purchase at Rs. 9,999 and 13,999 respectively. Now you can also place a pre order for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 at offline stores selling Xiaomi devices.
