Xiaomi has announced a Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro surprise flash sale on its Mi.com store as well as Flipkart. While on Mi.com, only the Redmi Note 5 will be available for purchase, Flipkart is going to host both the Redmi Note 5 and the more popular Redmi Note 5 Pro in its flash sale.
The Redmi Note 5 surprise flash sale starts today at 12PM on Mi.com as well as Flipkart. Note that Xiaomi‘s Mi.com will have only the regular Redmi Note 5, while Flipkart will have both the Redmi Note 5 as well as Redmi Note 5 Pro on sale.

The Redmi Note 5 is the more affordable sibling and comes with a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display, Android 7.0 Nougat with MIUI 9 and an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It comes with a 12MP rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5MP front camera. The smartphone comes with a 4000mAh battery, dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, a fingerprint sensor and other regular connectivity options.
The Redmi Note 5 Pro also comes with the same 5.99-inch Full HD+ display, Nougat but is powered by a more powerful Snapdragon 636 processor. The Pro variant also comes with up to 6GB RAM and a 12MP + 5MP dual camera setup at the back, along with a 20MP front camera and a selfie LED flash. Other specs remain the same.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has been priced starting at Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB version and Rs. 11,999 for the 4GB version.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is priced starting at Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB variant and Rs. 16,999 for the 6GB model.
