Chinese smartphone makers Oppo and Vivo have refreshed their 2018 flagship smartphone lineup in India with the Oppo F7 and Vivo V9 smartphones respectively. Both the Oppo F7 and the Vivo V9 have a lot in common including a similar 19:9 aspect ratio bezel-less display with an iPhone X-like notch on the top. The two smartphones also come with selfie-focused cameras.
Among other things, the two phones run on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box with their respective proprietary UI skins on top. Physical Overview
Starting with the design first, Oppo has adopted the latest design trend in the market and features a bezel-less notch display. The Oppo F7 sports glass front and metallic back which is common for a mid-range device. The phone is sleek and lightweight which makes it easier to hold in one hand despite the big screen size.
The Vivo V9 too offers similar aesthetics in terms of design. The Vivo V9 also sports a metal and glass body, but the phone is not as shiny as Oppo’s back panel. However, the Vivo V9 also sports a similar design language at the front with a bezel-less notch display.
Display
The Oppo F7 features a 6.23-inch full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 × 2280 pixels. The display comes with 19:9 aspect ratio, very thin bezels on each side and a notch on the top. The display of Oppo F7 is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
