Samsung Galaxy Note 9 benchmarks leaked: SM-N960U, Snapdragon 845 and more

Samsung has launched its first flagship of 2018, the Galaxy S9/S9+ just last month in MWC 2018 in Barcelona. Now, the company is gearing up to launch its next Galaxy Note series flagship — the Galaxy Note 9. In the first benchmarks leak today, the key specifications of the Galaxy Note 9 have been revealed.

The benchmark listing of Galaxy Note 9 revealed some of the key specs of it. The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC which was first introduced in the S9 phones.  Also, the Galaxy Note 9 memory will pack the same 6 GB RAM as seen on the Galaxy Note 8. On the software end, the Note 9 will come with Android 8.1 Oreo.

As mentioned, the Galaxy Note 9 will be running Android 8.1 Oreo. The Geekbench test shows that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 comes with model number SM-N960U and is powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset, aided by 6 GB of RAM. Also, this must be the North American version of the handset, as other markets will probably get an Exynos 9810 powered Galaxy Note 9.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 specifications benchmarks

According to the benchmark test, the Galaxy Note 9 gets multi-core benchmark score of 8806, and a single-core score of 2190. These numbers are great in comparison to the Snapdragon 845-based Galaxy S9+, and lower than the Exynos 9810-based Galaxy S9. So, the phone’s processor performance doesn’t seem to be overly impressive.

Also, as rumored, the new Note 9 could become the company’s first smartphone to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner, while also packing a larger battery compared to the Note 8. We’re also expecting camera enhancements, and the iconic S Pen stylus-related improvements as well.

Samsung will likely announce the Galaxy Note 9 in the same timeline when it did Galaxy Note 8 last year i.e. in August.
