WhatsApp beta for Android is getting a bunch of new features for the testers, recently WhatsApp got some new features on the Android beta app including audio message recording lock. Today, WhatsApp has rolled out a new beta update which enables the user to send notifications to all the contacts and groups when changing the WhatsApp number.
Enabling this feature will send a notification to all the contacts with the number you are changing the number to. This update has been added to the WhatsApp Beta app with version number 2.18.97. This “Change number feature” came to the new beta app of WhatsApp recently which enables the user to change the number easily on WhatsApp.

Changing the number will also migrate the data to the new number the user is changing too. The notification feature will ask the user to notify the contacts for number change with three options. It will ask you if the notification needs to be sent to All contacts, Contacts I have chat with and custom. In Custom option, you have to choose the contacts by yourself to which you need to notify about the number change.
This feature has been found by WABetaInfo with a screenshot of the options. To check if you got this update on your WhatsApp Beta, go to WhatsApp Settings > Account > Change number. Now enter the new number which you need to change the number and tap Next. After tapping on Next, you will see the Notify contacts option where you will see all the three options which we talked about earlier.
