Airtel Rs. 499 recharge offers 164GB 4G data, 82 days validity

Airtel has launched a new Rs. 499 recharge pack that offers total 164GB 4G data and comes with 82-days validity. The latest Airtel prepaid plan comes with 2GB of daily data allocation for its subscribers. This might be launched to take on other telecom operator’s IPL 2018 packs.

This new Airtel pack is not branded as IPL pack; however, it comes after Reliance Jio and BSNL launched their IPL 2018-focused plans to help users stream live IPL matches online. The new recharge comes with higher daily data caps compared to the other telcos’ prepaid plans. The total 164 data offered by Rs. 499 Airtel pack costs roughly Rs. 3 per GB.

With its Rs. 499 recharge, Airtel is offering total 164GB of 4G/3G data for 82 days. This also come with bundled local and STD calls, free roaming, and 100 SMSs per day for the entire validity period. The data is capped at 2GB per day. The bundled calls are limited to 300 minutes per day and 1,000 minutes a week and are charged at 30 paise per minute afterward.

If we talk about Airtel’s other similar plans, Airtel Rs. 448 plan provides 1.4GB data per day for 82 days, amounting to total 114.8GB data. Next, the Rs. 509 recharge offers 1.4GB data daily for 90 days, totaling 126GB of data. Other features are the same as those of the newly launched Rs. 499 recharge.

In Comparison, the Jio Rs. 251 IPL pack offers users 2GB data per day for 51 days, totaling 104GB data for the entire validity period. Other telecom operators, like the state-run BSNL, also announced Rs. 248 pack that offers even more data each day with its 3GB daily data allocation with a validity of 51 days, this prepaid recharge provides a total 153GB data.
