Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE connectivity is coming to the Indian market soon. India’s top telecom operators Airtel and Reliance Jio have announced that the Apple Watch Series 3 will be available in their stores and can be used on their 4G network. Both Airtel and Reliance Jio will start taking pre-orders for the Apple Watch Series 3 on May 4, while the shipping will start from May 11.
To recall, the Apple Watch Series 3 was introduced back in September 2017, but only the Wi-Fi variant was launched in India. Now, the cellular variant of Apple Watch is coming to India. The base variant of the Apple Watch Series 3 is priced at Rs. 29,900 in India, and there is no word on the pricing of the cellular variant. Both he Airtel and Reliance Jio will start taking pre-orders while Reliance Jio has also announced some offers for the Apple Watch Series 3.
Reliance Jio offers on Apple Watch Series 3
Reliance Jio has introduced a new service called “JioEverywhereConnect” for Apple Watch Series 3. With this new service, Jio users can use the same Jio number on both the phone and Apple Watch. Interestingly, they need not carry a phone to make phone calls or use the internet.
Under the JioEverywhereConnect service, Reliance Jio will be providing same Jio number for two devices (iPhone and Apple Watch Series 3) without any additional charges and at the price of one subscription. Also, you need not recharge separately on the iPhone number and Apple Watch Series 3 number and a single tariff plan will be enough for both the devices.
The users who pre-book the Watch with a Jio connection will receive the watch first as the stocks of the LTE version will be limited initially. Reliance Jio will also be delivering the watch to the customer’s doorstep, and the watch and the Jio SIM both will be delivered by the company itself.
If we recall the features, the latest Apple Watch comes with features like a new dual-core processor, runs Apple Watch OS 4, and supports LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS for connectivity.
