Nokia X showcased with 19:9 display, dual rear cameras, to be announced on May 16

There have been rumors about a mysterious Nokia smartphone called the Nokia X which was announced yesterday. The company has showcased the smartphone at an event in Sanlitun experience store in Beijing confirming the smartphone. The device will get officially announced on May 16th. The image of the smartphone has also been shared with a notch on the display and a 19:9 aspect ratio display.

The company hasn’t confirmed the specifications of the smartphone but the smartphone is rumored to be featuring 5.8 inches 19:9 aspect ratio display. It is going to be powered by a Snapdragon 636 or a MediaTek Helio P60 SoC. It has dual rear cameras which are said to be coming with ZEISS optics.

The smartphone is expected to be running the latest Android 8.0 Oreo with stock Android UI. The smartphone has a pretty sleek design which has a very thin bottom bezel, there is Nokia branding on the bottom bezel.

The smartphone is said to be branded as Nokia X but there is nothing official about that too. The back panel of the smartphone seems to be a glass panel which indicated there might be wireless charging feature.

Nokia’s smartphones are not doing very good compared to some other Chinese brands and adding a notch could be a good decision for making their smartphone worth considering during this Notch Display trend. The pricing of the smartphone or if it will come to India is still not clear so you might have to wait a while to see if this smartphone will hit the shelves in India.
