In order to stay in the competition, state-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has launched two new prepaid plans for its subscribers. BSNL’s two new prepaid plans are priced at Rs. 99 and Rs. 319 and they offer unlimited voice calling benefits to customers. Both the new plans are available on pan-India basis.
BSNL’s new plans are aimed at those users who make extensive voice calls from their mobile phones. However, if you are looking for a bundled tariff plan that also includes data benefits, BSNL has a Rs. 187 prepaid plan that offers unlimited voice calls and 1GB of 3G data per day for 28 days, which is also available across the country.
BSNL Rs. 99, Rs. 319 Plans
BSNL’s new Rs. 319 tariff plan has a validity of 90 days from the day of recharge, while the Rs. 99 plan has a validity of 26 days. With the new Rs. 99 and Rs. 319 prepaid plans, BSNL is offering unlimited voice calls to any network in the home circle and on national roaming, except Mumbai and Delhi. If you are looking for free voice calls for Mumbai and Delhi circles, there is a separate plan for you.
Interestingly, both the Rs. 99 and Rs. 319 plans come without any fair usage policy (FUP), allowing users to make unlimited voice calls similar to Reliance Jio and Airtel. However, BSNL only offers voice call feature while Jio and Airtel also provide free data with their unlimited plans.
Moreover, with Rs. 99 tariff plan, BSNL is also offering free caller tune service, which is not available with the Rs. 319 tariff plan. This new Rs. 99 plan competes with Jio’s Rs. 98 plan and Rs. 99 plan from Bharti Airtel.
Recently, BSNL had launched an IPL pack for Rs. 248 which offered 153GB of data with a validity of 51 days and a daily limit of 3GB. The offer is available until 30 similar to that of the IPL tournament schedule. Also, the recharge pack offers users to stream IPL matches.
