Vivo Z1 with notch display, dual rear cameras launched in China: Price, Specs

Vivo has announced its latest smartphone in the new ‘Z’ series dubbed as the Vivo Z1 in China. The phone comes with a 6.26-inch FHD+ 19:9 display with a notch and dual rear cameras. The phone features a metal and glass design and it is priced at 1798 yuan (Rs. 19,215 approx.) in China.

The latest phone from Vivo comes with the powerful Snapdragon 660 chipset coupled with 4GB RAM, and it runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo with Funtouch OS 4.0 on top. When it comes to the camera, the Vivo Z1 features a 13MP + 2MP dual rear cameras for portrait shots. It comes with a 12MP front camera that comes with A.I face beauty and can capture 24MP images just like the front camera in Vivo X21.

Vivo Z1 Specifications

The new Vivo Z1 comes with a 6.25-inch full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) 19:9 IPS display with a notch and 90% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with Adreno 512 GPU. It is coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory which is expandable up to 256GB.

The Dual SIM phone runs Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. For optics, it has a dual rear camera setup with a 13MP primary camera with LED flash and a secondary 2MP camera. Up front, there is a 12 MP front-facing camera. with f/2.0 aperture. It has AI scene and beauty recognition and can output 24MP resolution images.


It comes with a fingerprint sensor and also has face unlock. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS. It packs a 3,260mAh battery. Dimensions of the phone are 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89 mm and it weighs 149.3g.

Price and Availability

The Vivo Z1 is priced at 1798 yuan (US$ 280/Rs. 19,215 approx.). It comes in Black, Red and Blue colors, and is available for order from today and will go on sale from June 4 in China. Meanwhile, in India Vivo X21 with an in-display fingerprint scanner is scheduled to be launched on May 29.
