Xiaomi Mi 8, Mi 8 SE, Mi Band 3 surface online ahead of May 31 launch

Xiaomi is all set to launch a bunch of new products including the flagship Mi 8 tomorrow at an event in China. Now just a day before the big event, the press shots of the flagship Mi 8 along with another phone Mi 8 SE (Special Edition) has surfaced online on Chinese microblogging site. Separately, Mi Band 3 image has also been leaked online.

Xiaomi will introduce its flagship Mi 8, MIUI 10 and Mi Band 3 tomorrow and we had already seen some features of the Mi 8. Now, the latest press images of Mi 8 and Mi 8 SE show a notch on both the phones and Mi 8 SE is to come with a slightly smaller display. Also, it is now officially revealed that Mi 8 will be launched in India very soon.

The official Xiaomi twitter handle has posted an image with several landmarks including Taj Mahal inside the number 8 that hints that the phone might soon arrive in India. Other landmarks also hint that these countries will also get the Mi 8 soon after its launch in China. The countries include India, Egypt, Spain, Italy, Russia, and France.

A New live image of the Mi Band 3 has also surfaced on Weibo. The image reveals a large screen and a shiny body. The image also suggests that it might retain the button below the screen.


Xiaomi Mi 8, Mi 8 SE

According to the previous leaks, the Mi 8 will come with a 6.2 inches Full HD+ display which might come with 19:9 aspect ratio because of the notch. It is also known that the smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The Mi 8 SE, on the other hand, is rumored to come with a slightly smaller display and powered by the latest Snapdragon 710 SoC.

Other features include a dual rear camera setup with a 20MP+16MP combo and a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies. The battery is said to be of 3,300mAh with Quick Charge 4+ support. The new phones might be running the latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with the upcoming MIUI 10 which Xiaomi is supposed to launch at the event as well.
