Google Pixel 3 XL Live Images reveal notch display, dual front cameras and more

Google Pixel 3 series launch is due for later this year probably in October, but we have already started seeing rumors and leaks about the smartphone. Today Google Pixel 3 XL live images have surfaced online revealing most of the details of the phone especially the notch display and dual front cameras.

Google Pixel 3 XL live images are the courtesy of XDA Developers, and these images reveal dual front-facing camera sensors, fingerprint sensor, and speaker placement. They also confirm the display notch which was also revealed in the screen protector leak earlier. Also, images reveal that it will have 4GB RAM and 128GB storage with Snapdragon 845 SoC.

As seen in the images, the Pixel 3 XL packs a notch display at the front. A notch display for Pixel 3 XL does not come as a surprise as Android P also includes support for the notch. Another change will be the placement of the SIM card tray, which seems to be present at the bottom, compared to on the left on Pixel 2 series.

Further, just like the previous generation Google Pixel 2 XL, it will pack front-firing stereo speakers, XL lacks the 3.5mm audio jack and the volume and power buttons are also positioned similarly. The fingerprint sensor placement is also retained to the back side. At the bottom, there is just the USB Type-C port.

While we expected a dual-rear camera setup on Pixel 3XL, Google is still retaining its single-camera strength. The phone is now expected to come with dual front cameras instead which is also in-line with the previous leaks. The Pixel 3XL will also come with a glass back, however, we cannot tell if it will have wireless charging support.

As for the technical specs, the Pixel 3 flagships will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with at least 4GB RAM and 128GB storage as shown on the start screen. The 4GB RAM on bigger Pixel 3 seems a little surprising though.

Google is supposed to unveil the next generation Pixel 3 phone in October this year just like it did previously. Google is also said to be working on a mid-range Pixel smartphone powered by Snapdragon 710 processor which could make debut in early 2019.
