Xiaomi starts rolling out MIUI 10 Global Beta for first batch of devices including Redmi Note 5 Pro

Xiaomi has started the rollout of MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM to the first batch of devices. The announcement comes after the company started beta testing for the second batch of eligible devices for MIUI 10 China Developer ROM.

Xiaomi launched the global version of MIUI 10 at an event in New Delhi back in June. The company at the time of launch also announced the global beta roll out schedule. Now, they have started the rollout of the MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM for the first batch of eligible devices. The latest MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM is currently available for Mi 6, Mi Mix 2, Redmi S2, Redmi Note 5 Pro(India)/Redmi Note 5, Mi Mix 2S, Mi 5, Mi Note 2, and Mi Mix.

MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM 8.7.5 Changelog

As announced on the Mi Forum, the new Global Beta ROM carries version 8.7.5 and comes with several improvements. Firstly, Xiaomi has added LDAC functionality for Bluetooth with the latest Global Beta ROM. Next, it has also fixed a translation issue with all languages. Lastly, the update also fixes the Russian language localization issue in which the Cleaner content doesn’t translate to Russian in the file manager.

How to get latest MIUI Global Beta

Xiaomi had called beta testers for the MIUI 10 Global ROM last month in order to receive early feedback on the development. So, now those users who have one of the eligible devices mentioned above and have also registered for the Global Beta ROM can get the latest MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM.


In order to check the availability for the MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM, they can head to Settings > About Phone-> System Updates-> Check for updates.

Apart from that, Xiaomi has also provided ROM download links on its MIUI forum. So, those who don’t get it via update can sideload these builds via the Fastboot method.

Xiaomi has also announced the list of phones to get MIUI 10 and plans to bring the new Global ROM to these smartphones in September.
