JioPhone Monsoon Hungama offer goes live today. The company announced the offer earlier this month and said it would go live on July 21. Now, the offer starts a day ahead of scheduled launch. Users will be able to get JioPhone at Rs 501 from 5:01 PM today.

Reliance Jio announced JioPhone Monsoon Hungama offer at its AGM earlier this month alongside the launch of JioPhone 2. Under this offer, the company a chance to buy a new JioPhone for only Rs 501 in exchange for any old feature phone. It is an ideal deal for those who are looking for a new feature phone to buy.

How to get JioPhone for Rs. 501

To get the JioPhone for Rs. 501, you have to first register for the offer on Jio.com. Those who register interest for the offer will receive notification when the offer goes live at their nearby store. They can head to nearby Jio store or any Reliance digital store to purchase the phone.

Users are required to carry Aadhaar card and passport size photo along with the old feature phone to exchange. You have to pay Rs 501 which is non-refundable.


To recall, when JioPhone was launched, a deposit of Rs 1500 has to be made which would be refunded by the company after three years. With the new JioPhone Monsoon Hungama offer, the phone is no longer free and you won’t get your R. 501 back not even after three years, unlike the Rs 1500 security deposit.

Moreover, this offer’s JioPhone will not come bundled with any plans, unlike the earlier offer. Now, with this offer, you will have to do recharge on your new JioPhone with either Rs 49 or Rs 153 plans that are exclusive for the JioPhone.
