Xiaomi has launched its much-awaited Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite smartphones at its global event in Spain today. The highlight of the smartphones is that they come with Google’s Android One program and feature stock Android OS.
The Mi A2 is the rebranded version of the Mi 6X with Android One software and successor to last year’s Mi A1. Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite, on the other hand, is the global variant of the Redmi 6 Pro smartphone with stock Android experience.
Xiaomi Mi A2, Mi A2 Lite Price
The Mi A2 comes in two variants and the 4GB + 32GB version is priced at 249 Euros (Rs. 20,080 approx.). While the 4GB+ 64GB variant costs 279 Euros (Rs. 22,499 roughly) and lastly the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage variant costs 349 Euros (Rs. 28,144 approx.).
The Mi A2 Lite is priced at 199 Euros (Rs. 14,434 approx.) for the 3GB+32GB version and 229 Euros (Rs. 18,465 roughly) for the 4GB+64GB version. The smartphones will be available for purchase from August 10 via Amazon, Ali Express, and some other e-com portals.
Xiaomi Mi A2 Specifications
The Mi A2 sports a 5.99-inch FHD+ 2.5D curved glass display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor with Adreno 512 GPU and up to 6GB RAM. It comes with up to 128GB storage option with expanding option via microSD card. The Mi A2 runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
In terms of camera, it sports a dual camera with a 12MP primary camera with LED flash, f/1.75 aperture, 1.25μm pixel size, and a 20MP secondary sensor with f/1.75 aperture, 2.0um pixel size. There is a 20MP front-facing camera with soft LED flash.
Connectivity options are Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. The device packs a 3010mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support.
Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Specifications
Coming to the Mi A2 Lite, it sports a 5.84-inch FHD+ 2.5D curved glass display with 19:9 aspect ratio because of a notch on top. It is powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. Memory wise it packs up to 3GB RAM and 32GB storage which is expandable up to 256GB via dedicated microSD slot.
In terms of optics, it also packs a 12MP primary camera with LED Flash, 1.25um pixel size, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, and a secondary 5MP camera with f/2.2 aperture. It sports a 5MP front-facing camera.
Since it is an Android One device, so it will run stock Android 8.1 Oreo without MIUI. Connectivity options on Mi A2 Lite include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS. It will pack a 4000mAh battery.
