Asus just upgraded its recently released budget smartphone to put it to compete with smartphones dominating the budget segment. The Asus has improved the smartphone with more RAM and better camera specifications. All other specs are similar to the regular version of the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1. The price of the 6GB version of the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 is Rs 14,999.

Build and Design: Twinsies!
The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 comes with a metal back panel with plastic top and bottom caps for better signal receptions. The frame is all metal, the smartphone is 8.5 mm thick, and the weights of the smartphone is only 180 grams which are an optimal weight for a smartphone with a 6 inches display.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is also built as similar as the Zenfone Pro M1; it also features a metal body with Gorilla Glass protection on the front. The Redmi note 5 Pro is thinner (8.1mm) than the Zenfone Max M1 Pro but weighs almost the similar (181 grams).
Display: Who got more pixels?
The display on the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 is 5.99 inches IPS LCD panel with 404 PPI pixel density. This display comes with a full HD+ (1080 x 2160) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. Sadly, there is no Gorilla Glass protection available on this display.
The Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with a 5.99 inches IPS LCD panel with almost similar (401 PPI) pixel density. The smartphone also features the same full HD+ (1080 x 2260) resolution with 18:9 aspect ratio. Xiaomi has added a Corning Gorilla GLass protection to the display to protect it from scratches.

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 comes with a 16MP + 5MP sensor with f/.0 and f/2.4 aperture size respectively. The dual camera adds a depth to the picture with its depth sensor. The front facing camera is a 16MP sensor with LED flash at the front. The smartphone can shoot 4K 30 fps videos and FHD videos at 60 fps.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with a 12MP sensor with f/2.2 and a secondary 5MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture to add a depth to the pictures. The smartphone features a 20 MP front facing the camera with LED flash. The smartphone is capable of shooting FHD videos at 30 frames per second.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with a 4000 mAh battery which provides enough juice for a whole day. The smartphone features Quick Charge 2.0 as a fast charging tech. Other than the battery, the smartphone features dual 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0 and microUSB port for data sync and charging the smartphone.
Most of the features and specifications of both the smartphones are similar to each other, but Asus seems to win at most of the places.
