The USP on the Qin1 and Qin1s is real-time translation feature that supports as many as 17 languages based on machine learning. They also come with a built-in IR blaster that works as a universal remote for controlling TVs, ACs, set-top boxes, and other devices.

Price, availability

The Xiaomi Qin1 and Qin1s are priced at CNY 199 (roughly Rs. 1,990). They are currently available for pre-orders on Youpin in China and their shipments will begin from September 15. The feature phones come in Black and White color options.

The feature phone launch form Xiaomi is interesting at a time when 4G feature phones are becoming popular in markets like India. Notably, JioPhone is one of the most popular feature phone in India and it has a considerable market capture. However, it’s not yet known whether Xiaomi will launch these feature phones in India.
