Xiaomi Mi A2 gets FHD 60fps video recording support via OTA update

Xiaomi has rolled out a new update for the Mi A2 which got released recently under Android One campaign by Google. The new update comes with a new camera feature which enables the rear camera to record Full HD video recording at higher frame rates (60 fps.) The smartphone also got the latest security patch of August with this new update.

Before the update, the Xiaomi Mi A2 only supported the 1080p FHD video recording at 30 fps which s still good. The smartphone also features Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) to reduce shakes in video recording and remove blurry pictures.

One of the major change in the latest software update for Xiaomi Mi A2 is the latest security patch from August. This is the same security patch received by the Google Pixel devices this month. This update brings some more fixes and improvements to the system of Xiaomi Mi A2.

The smartphone also gets a new camera-related update which adds a new 60 fps video recording at full HD 1080 resolution. You can go to the Camera app, then settings to change the video recording frame rate to 60 fps for 1080 FHD video recording. The upgrade will also fix some minor bugs and improve the smartphone performance a bit.


The Xiaomi Mi A2 OTS update has a build number OPM1.171019.011.V9.6.10.0.ODIMIFE and it has a size of 380 MB. To download this new update go to Settings > About Phone > Check for Updates.
