Moto G6 Plus With 18:9 Display, Dual Cameras Launched in India: Price, Specifications

Motorola finally launched its Moto G6 Plus smartphone in India today. The top-end model in Moto G6 series comes to India months after it was launched globally. The key features of the Moto G6 Plus are FHD+ 18:9 display, Snapdragon 630 with 6GB RAM, 12+5MP dual rear camera, and a 16MP front camera with LED flash.

Motorola has already launched the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play in India back in June at a starting price of 11,999. However, the new Moto G6 Plus with 3D glass back with Gorilla Glass protection and water-repellent coating comes with a hefty price tag.

Moto G6 Plus specifications

The Moto G6 Plus sports a 5.93-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and there is a fingerprint sensor below it. It runs by a 2.2 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 630 processor with Adreno 508 GPU, 6GB RAM, and 64GB storage that is also expandable up to 256GB.

In terms of camera, it sports a dual camera setup with a 12MP primary sensor with LED Flash, f/1.7 aperture, 1.4um pixel size, and a 5MP secondary sensor. There is a 16MP front camera with LED flash.


The smartphone is powered by Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box and also comes with Moto Display, Moto Voice, Moto Actions and other usual sets of Moto features. The Dual SIM phone comes with dedicated dual SIM and microSD card slots. Other connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C.

It also features a 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, front-firing loudspeaker, Dolby Audio, and 3 mics. It packs a 3200mAh battery with Turbocharging support that promises hours of battery life after a few minutes of charging. As mentioned, it comes with P2i water-repellent nanocoating to protect it from splashes or light rain.

Price, Availability

The Moto G6 Plus is priced at Rs. 22499. The smartphone comes in Deep Indigo color and will go on sale exclusively via Amazon India starting today. It will also go on sale offline via Moto Hub stores as well.
