Apple iPhone XR with Liquid Retina Display Launched at Rs. 76,900: Features, Specifications

Apple also launched a cheaper version of iPhone dubbed as iPhone XR today. The iPhone XR comes with a 6.1-inch LCD Liquid Retina display which it the best LCD display ever made as claimed by Apple.

The new Apple iPhone XR is powered by the same A12 Bionic 7nm Chip. However, it has a single 12-megapixel camera at the back. It also has an aluminum and glass design that is splash- and water-resistant with IP67 ratings. The iPhone XR also features Face ID, LTE Advanced Dual SIM support via eSIM similar to the iPhone XS models.

Apple iPhone XR specifications

The new iPhone XS sports a 6.1-inch (1792 x 828 pixels) LCD Liquid Retina display with 3D Touch support. The phone is water and dust resistant with the IP67 rating. It is powered by a six-core A12 bionic 64-bit 7nm processor with M12 motion co-processor. The iPhone XR comes in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage options. The new iPhone XR runs iOS 12.

The new iPhone XR also comes with dual-SIM (nano + eSIM or physical SIM in China) support. IN terms of camera, it sports a single 12MP wide-angle (f/1.8) camera with optical image stabilization, True Tone flash and 4K video recording at 60 fps support. There is a 7MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture, Retina Flash, and 1080p video recording support.


Connectivity options on the new iPhone XR include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac with MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC with reader mode, and GPS with GLONASS. The iPhone XR sports a built-in lithium-ion battery with Qi wireless charging, and fast charging support.

Price, availability

The Apple iPhone XR price starts at $749 (Rs. 53,860 approx.) in the U.S. The smartphone comes in white, black, blue, yellow, coral and PRODUCT RED colors. It will be available for pre-order starting from October 19 and will go on sale in India along with other 50 countries starting from October 26. The iPhone XR price in India is Rs. 76,900.
