After being popular in smartphones, OnePlus has now announced that it is working on its first Smart TV. The company claims that it is developing its new TV product with premium flagship design, solid build quality, image quality, and the best audio experience.
“We want to bring the home environment to the next level of intelligent connectivity. To do this, we are building a new product of OnePlus’ premium flagship design, image quality, and audio experience to more seamlessly connect the home. We call it: OnePlus TV,” writes CEO Pete Lau on the OnePlus forum.
As of now, there are no other details available about the new smart TV that is called OnePlus TV. As per the company, it will be the latest technology to improve our ‘digital wellbeing’. Just like smartphones, OnePlus is also asking for feedback and suggestions from the users and for starters, it is asking people to name their TV.
“To kick off this journey, we ask for your help in giving our TV product something truly special: a NAME. Of course, we’ve cooked up some prizes to give in return,” reads the blog.
How to enter the contest
You can enter your suggested name for OnePlus TV [Here] before October 17. The OnePlus team will choose 10 final suggestions on October 31 and each of the 10 finalists will receive OnePlus Bullets Wireless.
There will be only one grand-prize winner chosen by the OnePlus team and that will be announced before December 17. If a winning name is selected from the suggestions, the winner will receive one of the first OnePlus TV products and a round-trip airfare and hotel for the first OnePlus TV launch event.
After the final winner announcement on December, the OnePlus TV will get the official name. This also makes it clear that OnePlus TV is expected later this year or early 2019.
