Realme 2 Pro leaks ahead of launch, is it the Oppo F9 Pro?

Oppo’s new brand Realme is gearing up for its third smartphone launch in India at the end of this month. Last month at the launch of the Realme 2, the company confirmed that it would launch the Realme 2 Pro with better specs in September. Now, it has posted a new teaser revealing the first look of the phone.

The company has already sent out invites for the launch of Realme 2 Pro on September 26 and 27. Now, ahead of launch, the teaser reveals the design of the Realme 2 Pro. The video teaser gives us a sneak peek at what the phone will look and we can it is looking exactly like the recently launched Oppo F9 Pro. However, it doesn’t sport diamond-cut pattern.

Realme 2 Pro Features

The teaser shows a smartphone being used by the model that clearly reveals the display with a waterdrop-style notch just like the Oppo F9/F9 Pro. It is to be noted that Realme has the same manufacturing unit, so a lot of the design elements could be similar to the Oppo F9, however, there could be different internals this time around.

Coming to the back of the Realme 2 Pro that is also spotted in the video, it looks like a glass back in a Silver color variant. However, it could be a plastic back with a glossy finish. Further, the phone will sport dual rear cameras, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, similar to the Realme 2, but it is a circular fingerprint sensor instead of the oval one on the Realme 2.

The teaser also reveals a version with the matte finish. The phone is expected to come in a range of color variants. The smartphone also appears to have a 3.5mm headphone jack that sits alongside the USB port and the loudspeaker grill.

The ad doesn’t reveal anything about the hardware, however, since it is a Pro model, it is expected to come with upgraded specs compared to the Realme 1 and 2. So, it’s quite possible that the company could go for a Snapdragon 600-series chipset. We expect it will be priced around the Rs 15,000 segment. We should know more details when it launches on September 26-27.
