Amazon launched new generation of Echo smart devices in India starting at Rs. 4499

Amazon has upgraded its Alexa powered smart speakers with the launch of three new devices in India. These new devices include a 3rd generation Echo Dot, 2nd Generation Echo Plus and new Echo Sub with all new design and price range. These devices come at the similar price to their previous generation devices and starting at Rs 4,499.

Echo Dot 3rd Generation


The new devices include a 3rd generation Echo Dot which now comes with a nice curvier design with fabric material on the sides. The base design is similar to the previous generation with four buttons on the top and voice ring. The device looks almost identical in form factor and dimensions too. A new thing about is the 3.5mm audio port to connect it to a big speaker.

Echo Plus 2nd Generation


The 2nd generation Echo Plus comes with a temperature sensor now which can be used to set routines according to that. It comes with a bigger 3-inch Neodymium woofer, and improved bass and sound are more clear and crispier. It also features the same fabric design and it kind of look just like the Apple’s Home Pod.

Echo Sub


The Echo Sub is a new and first wireless Echo subwoofer featuring 100W deep bass sound using a 6-inch woofer. It can be connected to compatible Echo devices to creates a pair of 1.1 or 2.1 for stereo sound. The Equalizer feature lets you control the bass and more functions according to your music needs.

Pricing and Availability

The Echo Dot 3rd generation is available in three colours starting at a price of Rs 4,499. The Amazon Echo Plus 2nd Generation comes in the same three colours starting at Rs 14,999. The Amazon Echo Sub comes in Grey colour only with a price tag of Rs. 12,999.

The new Echo Dot, Echo Plus and Echo Sub are up for pre-orders starting today. The Echo Dot and Plus will ship from October 11, while the Echo Sub will go on sale from November 14 in India.
