Realme C1 Vs Realme 2: Are they any different from each other?

Oppo’s sub-brand Realme also launched a budget phone Realme C1 along with the Realme 2 Pro at yesterday’s event. The company’s latest budget phone Realme C1 comes with a HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio notch display, Snapdragon 450 chipset with 2GB of RAM and a 13MP+2MP dual rear camera. Realme 2 price in India is Rs. 6,999.

To recall, Realme launched its second smartphone Realme 2 last month with almost similar specifications like the same hardware and same display but at a slightly higher price. So, let’s find out how the new Realme C1 is the new Realme 2 at a lesser price.

Similarities

Same design and display

The new Realme C1 sports a 6.2-inch HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) FullView 2.5D curved glass display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. To recall, Realme 2 Pro also sports a similar size HD+ display with similar 19:9 aspect ratio.

Both the phones look identical when looked at the front, however, they are slightly different from the back side as Realme C1 sports a glossy back while Realme 2 comes with a diamond pattern back.


Same hardware

Both the smartphones are powered by a 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 450 processor with Adreno 506 GPU.

Same battery size

Both the Realme C1 and Realme 2 pack a similar size battery. They both have a huge 4230mAh battery.

Same dual rear camera

Next similarity between both the phones is their dual rear camera setup. Both the phones sport a 13MP primary rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, and a secondary 2MP camera with a f/2.4 aperture for depth effects.

Realme C1

Apart from the above mentioned similar features, they both run ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Connectivity option on both the phones include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, and USB OTG. They both have a dedicated dual SIM and microSD card slots.

Differences

Less RAM and storage

The Realme C1 comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. While the Realme 2 has at least 3GB RAM and 32GB storage and it also has a 4GB/64GB model. However, both the phones have expandable memory up to 256GB with microSD.

No fingerprint scanner

One of the main differences between both the phones is that Realme C1 doesn’t come with a fingerprint sensor. It has face unlock feature though. Realme 2, on the other hand, has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Degraded front camera

The Realme C1 sports a 5MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture. While the Realme 2 comes with an 8 MP front camera with aperture.

Color options

The Realme C1 comes in Black and Blue colors while Realme 2 comes with Diamond Black, Diamond Red, Diamond Blue color options.

Price, availability

Realme C1 is priced at Rs. 6999, while Realme 2 price in India starts at Rs. 8,990. However, Realme C1’s price is an introductory price for Diwali. Both the smartphone are Flipkart exclusive. The new Realme C1 will be available on Flipkart from October 11.
