Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 11nm processor with support for triple front and rear cameras announced

Qualcomm has announced a new mobile processor in its 600-tier dubbed as Snapdragon 675 at its 4G/5G Summit in Hong Kong. The Snapdragon 675 is based on 11nm LPP process technology that promises performance improvement and low power consumption over the Snapdragon 670.

The new Snapdragon 675 comes with new Kryo 460 CPUs, Spectra 250 ISP, and Adreno 612 GPU. The highlight of the Snapdragon 675 is that it supports triple camera set up at the front or back. It also comes with Qualcomm Multi-core AI Engine that is engineered to deliver up to 50% improvements in AI applications.

If we talk about specs, the Snapdragon 675 is an octa-core processor with two Kryo 460 performance cores clocked at 2 GHz and six Kryo 460 efficiency cores clocked at 1.7GHz. The processor is built on 11nm LPP process technology.

It supports up to 8GB memory. It comes with Adreno 612 GPU. It also comes with a Spectra 250 ISP that supports up to 25 MP single camera, 16MP dual camera, with up to 48 MP snapshot. It also supports 4K video recording @ 30FPS and 1080p @120FPS.


The new processor supports up to FHD+ (2520×1080 pixel) displays and also has up to 4K external display support. The display supports up to 4K Ultra HD playback @ 30 FPS.

In terms of fast charging, it has support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ technology. If we talk about download speeds, it supports speeds of up to 600 Mbps down and 150 Mbps up via 3 20MHz downlinks and 2 20MHz uplinks.

Other connectivity options it supports are Dual-band 802.11ac with MU-MIMO 2×2, GPS, Glonass, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS, and SBAS and Bluetooth 5. It also supports Dual SIM Dual VoLTE (DSDV) feature as well. It also comes with Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWiFi) with LTE call continuity support.

The Snapdragon 675 Mobile Platform is currently available for smartphone manufacturers and it is expected to arrive in devices in the first quarter of 2019.
