You can now send stickers on WhatsApp; Here’s how

After several months of testing, stickers on WhatsApp are finally available. The messenger app is rolling this much-awaited sticker support feature for its users on Android, iOS, and Web but it may take a few days to reach all devices. The company also launched a “Stickers” Store to download these stickers.

WhatsApp is providing 12 sticker packs with the option to send from one existing pack that comes pre-installed with the name ‘Cuppy’. Users can head to the sticker store to install additional sticker packs and also there is a link to download various sticker packs directly from Google Play.

How to get started with Stickers on WhatsApp

Android users can tap on the Emoji icon present on the left side of the text field in any chat and then tap on the stickers icon next to the GIF icon. Now, you can select any sticker from the existing pack to send. Similarly, iOS users can tap on the sticker icon present in the text input field when in any conversation.

In order to add new packs, users need to tap the ‘Plus’ icon on the left edge of the section to visit the sticker store where all the stickers are listed. Users can also preview, download or delete currently installed sticker packs in the ‘All Stickers’ section while the ‘My Stickers’ section allows to delete or change the order of the packs.

WhatsApp has also added a sticker category section. This appears right below the text field when you tap the stickers icon. It shows the most sent stickers, your favorite stickers, and stickers based on four types or emotions- happy, heat, sad, and surprised expression.

Android users need to be on the beta version 2.18.329 and iOS users need to be on the version 2.18.100 to get the latest stickers feature. If you are not on beta, you can download the latest beta directly from the Google Play beta program or an APK file via APK Mirror.
