OnePlus 6T with new display and in-display fingerprint scanner launched at $549

After many leaks and rumors, OnePlus 6T finally got unveiled today at an event in New York City. The smartphone will be launched in India tomorrow on October 30. As expected, the latest OnePlus flagship comes with several improvements over its previous model. The key features in the OnePlus 6T are a new waterdrop style notched 6.41-inches display, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and Snapdragon 845 chipset.

OnePlus 6T Price

OnePlus 6T US price starts at $549 (Rs. 41,000 approx.) for the 6GB+128GB variant. The 8GB+128GB variant cots $579 and the top model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at $629 (Rs. 46,200 roughly). The smartphone will gon on sale from in North America from Nov 1 and in Europe from Nov 6. The OnePlus 6T price in India is not yet announced and will be revealed at tomorrow’s the event.

OnePlus 6T Specifications

The OnePlus 6T features a 6.41-inch Full HD+ Optic AMOLED display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It sports a 19.5:9 aspect ratio which means it has a new waterdrop style notch on the top of display. The display also features an in-display fingerprint reader. It runs OxygenOS based on Android 9.0 Pie and is powered by Snapdragon 845 processor with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.

In terms of camera, the OnePlus 6T has a dual rear camera setup with a 16MP primary sensor and 20MP secondary sensor, both with f/1.7 aperture. The camera also supports 4K recording, OIS, EIS and 480 fps slow-mo recording as well. The OnePlus 6T has a 16-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Connectivity options on the smartphone include Wi-Fi 2×2 MIMO, 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, and USB Type C. The smartphone doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device gets a 3,700mAh battery with fast charging support.
