Realme is all set to launch its new phone from the new U series Realme U1 in India on November 28. The new smartphone will be the first phone to come with the new MediaTek Helio P70 SoC. The company is sending out media invites for the launch of the Realme U1, which will be a selfie-centric smartphone and an Amazon exclusive.
Realme had already announced that it would the first to launch an Helio P70 powered smartphone globally. Now, the new Realme U1 has already been listed on Amazon with a tagline “India’s SelfiePro”. The listing claims that the new Realme U1 will feature the most powerful selfie camera ever, though the sensor details of the camera are still unknown.
Further, the smartphone is to sport a waterdrop-style notch display just like the Realme 2 Pro. This means Realme U1 will have a large, edge-to-edge display with a large screen-to-body ratio. The exact size and resolution of the display are still unknown.
As mentioned, the Realme U1 will be the first phone to be powered by the latest Helio P70 chipset. The new octa-core chipset from MediaTek is based on a 12nm FinFET process and promises to deliver a boost in performance over its predecessor Helio P60. Also, the Helio P70 will bring a bunch of improvements such as high-resolution depth engine, faster multi-frame noise reduction, anti-blooming engine, and accurate AI detection on Realme U1.
If we talk about the pricing, the Realme U1 could be priced above the Realme 2 Pro. So, we can expect a price tag higher than Rs 13,990 for Realme U1. Realme recently increased the prices of some of its phones due to the falling value of rupee. So this might affect the Realme U1 pricing as well. e will have to wait until November 28 for that.
