Vivo launching a pop-up camera phone in India on February 20, likely to be V15 Pro

Vivo is all set to launch a new smartphone in India on February 20. The company has sent media invites for the event where it is set to launch its new phone which will have a pop-up selfie camera. The invite doesn’t reveal any other detail apart from this.

This new Vivo smartphone with a pop-up front camera could be the V15 Pro which will be the successor to the V11 Pro that was launched back in September last year. However, the V11 Pro sports waterdrop notch. If we talk about pop-up selfie camera phone, the company launched the Vivo NEX with the same technology last year.

As per the invite sent by Vivo, the upcoming phone may be the next phone with a pop-up selfie camera after NEX. The media invite shows a silhouette of a phone with an elevating front camera setup. The tag line in the invite reads, “There’s a new pop-star in town.”

Previously, a case was leaked that was alleged of Vivo V15 Pro. The transparent case revealed that the phone will feature a triple rear camera setup. Also, there is an opening on the top of the case that will help to raise the front camera to capture selfies. The phone is likely to come with a FullView display and an in-display fingerprint scanner just like NEX.

The Vivo V15 Pro will be a mid-range smartphone similar to the V11 Pro and it is said to be priced around Rs. 30,000. We will update you with more details about this upcoming Vivo phone in the coming weeks.
