Oppo K1 mid-range phone with in-display fingerprint sensor launching in India next month

Oppo has teased a new smartphone launch in India with an in-display fingerprint scanner. It is expected that the new smartphone could be the Oppo K1 that was announced in China back in October. The company has dedicated a page on Flipkart that shows that the upcoming phone with an in-display fingerprint will come at an affordable price.

The listing on Flipkart reveals that Oppo‘s upcoming phone will sport an in-display fingerprint sensor and it will be launched at an “unbelievable price”. To recall, Oppo K1 was launched in China at CNY 1,599 (Rs. 16,900 approx.) for the 4GB RAM storage variant. So, we are expecting it will come to India under Rs. 20,000.

Oppo K1 Specifications

To recall the specs of Oppo K1, it sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a 91 percent screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone runs ColorOS 5.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

For imaging, the Oppo K1 sports a dual rear camera setup with a 16MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. It sports a 25MP front camera for selfies. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor paired with up to 6GB RAM. It has 64GB storage that is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.


Connectivity options on the phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi i 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and GLONASS. As mentioned, the device has an in-display fingerprint sensor. It also sports a 3D glass design at the back panel. It is powered by a 3,600mAh battery.
