Sony Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus smartphones were launched at MWC 2019 event in Barcelona today. The company’s latest mid-range phones come with the new 21:9 aspect ratio displays that the company calls CinemaWide display.

The Sony Xperia 10 Plus has a larger display, a better processor, better cameras and a bigger battery compared to the Xperia 10. Both the phones come with dual rear cameras and sport a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Sony Xperia 10 Specifications

The Sony Xperia 10 sports a 6-inch full-HD+ (2560 x 1080 pixels) 21:9 aspect ratio display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by the Snapdragon 630 chipset paired with 3GB RAM and 64GB storage. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie.

Its dual rear camera setup has a 13MP wide-angle sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The camera supports 21:9 video capture, 4K video recording, 120fps slow-motion recording, hybrid autofocus, and 5X digital zoom. It has an 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture and screen flash.

The device packs a 2,870mAh battery with fast charging support. Connectivity options on the phone include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi, NFC, and USB Type-C. The phone also supports high-resolution audio with LDAC, SmartAmplifier, Stereo Recording, and Qualcomm aptX HD audio.

The Sony Xperia 10 Plus sports a larger 6.5-inch full-HD+ (2560 x 1080 pixels) 21:9 aspect ratio display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, it gets Snapdragon 636 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It also runs on Android 9.0.

Coming to the camera, the Xperia 10 Plus’ dual rear camera setup comes with a 12MP wide-angle sensor with f/1.75 aperture and an 8MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture. It also has features like 21:9 video recording, 4K video recording, and 120fps slow-motion recording. It also comes with 2x optical zoom apart from 5X digital zoom. Up front, it sports the same 8MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture and acreen flash.

The Xperia 10 Plus has a 3,000mAh battery with fast charging support. Connectivity features it supports are 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, and USB Type-C. It also supports high-resolution audio with LDAC, SmartAmplifier, and Qualcomm aptX HD audio.

Price, availability

The Sony Xperia 10 is priced at $349.99 (Rs. 24,800 approx.). It will be available in Black, Navy Blue, Pink, and Silver color options. The Xperia 10 Plus is priced at $429.99 (Rs. 30,500 approx.). It will come in Black, Gold, Navy Blue, and Silver colors.

Both the Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus will go on sale starting from March 18 in the US. There is no word on Xperia 10 availability and price in India as of now.
