Xiaomi’s first Android Go phone Redmi Go India launch set for March 19

Xiaomi has confirmed that it will launch the Redmi Go in India on March 19. The company’s first Android Go Edition smartphone was announced last month in Philippines. The key features of the Redmi Go include a 5-inch HD screen, Snapdragon 425 processor with 1GB RAM, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 4G VoLTE support and a 3000mAh battery.

Xiaomi Redmi Go Specifications

Coming to the full specs, the Redmi Go comes with a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720pixels) display with 16:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 processor with 1GB RAM. It packs 8GB internal storage that is expandable up to 128GB with microSD.

The smartphone runs the Go Edtion of Android 8.1 Oreo and it will come with all the Go apps lie Files Go etc. The Dual SIM phone has several connectivity features like 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS. It packs a 3000mAh battery.

In terms of camera, there is an 8MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1.12μm pixel size. It has a 5MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture and 1.12μm pixel size. Dimensions of the phone are 140.4x 70.1 x 8.35mm and its weight is 137g. The smartphone comes in Black and Blue colors.

Redmi Go Expected Price in India

The Xiaomi Redmi Go price is set at 3,990 Philippine Piso (Rs. 5,240 approx.) in Philippine. We expect the Redmi Go price in India a little lesser and it should be priced under Rs. 5,000 here. However, we will know the exact pricing when it launches next week.
