VU launches new range of TVs in India starting at Rs. 14,500

California-based Vu Televisions launched its new range of TVs in India today. The newly launched TVs from the company including Vu Pixelight TV, Vu UltraSmart TV, and Vu Premium Android TV, are designed with focus on VOD (video on demand) content from Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon Prime, etc.

The new Vu TVs come with a proprietary upscaling technology that combines advanced machine learning algorithms with a state-of-the-art DSP to provide an enhanced playback for VOD content. Let’s check out the features and pricing details of the newly launched Vu TVs.

Vu Pixelight TV

Vu Pixelight 4K TV offers upscaled picture and sound quality for streaming VOD content. It comes with a Pixelight Remote with 4 Hotkeys that give instant access to apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube. There is also an apps menu on the TV from where you can access more content from the likes of Eros Now and Hungama Play.

The new Vu Pixelight TV comes with HDR technology that enhances the visuals on the display. There is also a built-in Dolby Audio and DTS technologies for better audio output. Vu Pixelight 4K TV comes in 43-inches, 50-inches, 55-inches, and 65-inches, priced at Rs 30,000, Rs 39,000, Rs 42,000 and Rs 66,000 respectively.


Vu UltraSmart TV

The Vu Ultrasmart Full HD TV also comes pre-loaded with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and YouTube apps. It’s remote also has 4-Hotkeys to access these apps. The TV has Smart Interface to ensure an easy way to access content.

It sports a high bright panel that is coupled with an in-built Dolby and DBX-TV audio. All of these are housed in a piano design body. The Vu UltraSmart TV comes in 32-inch, 40-inch, and 49-inch sizes, priced at Rs 14,500, Rs 21,000 and Rs 31,000 respectively.

Vu Premium Android TV

Lastly, Vu Premium Android 4K TV comes with HDR 10 & Dolby Vision technology. The company claims it can upscale the details on the display by maximizing contrast and color accuracy to deliver an immersive picture quality in 4K HDR. It also has built-in Dolby MS12 Audio and DBx-tv to deliver better audio clarity.

The Vu Premium Android TV runs Android 8.0 Oreo which gives you access to Google apps. It also has apps like Hotstar that can be accessed via Vu ActiVoice remote. It comes in four sizes- 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch that are priced at Rs 35,000, Rs 41,000 and Rs 47,000 and Rs 72,000 respectively.
