Xiaomi Redmi 7 launched in India starting at Rs. 7,999: Full specs and availability

Alongside the Redmi Y3, Xiaomi also launched its another budget phone Redmi 7 in India today. The highlights of the Redmi 7 include an HD+ dot notch display, 12MP+2MP dual rear camera, Snapdragon 632 processor and a 4,000mAh battery.

Redmi 7 Price in India, Offers, Availability

Xiaomi launched Redmi 7 in China at a starting price of 699 Yuan. Now it comes to India at the same price tag. The Redmi 7 price in India starts at Rs. 7,999 for the 2GB/32GB model. While the 3GB/32GB model will cost Rs. 8,999.

Redmi 7 will be available from April 29th via Amazon.in, Mi.com and Mi Home stores. If we talk about launch offers, Jio users will get double data for up to 4 years and Rs. 2,400 cashback.

Redmi 7 Specifications

The Redmi 7 sports a 6.26-inch HD+ (1520×720 pixels) Dot Notch display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It comes with an Auro Smoke design that offers a gradient pattern on the back. The smartphone comes in Eclipse Black, Lunar Red, and Comet Blue color options.

Under the hood, the Redmi 7 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 632 chipset. It is paired with up to 3GB RAM. The device packs 32GB storage that is expandable up to 512GB via a dedicated microSD card slot.

Coming to the camera, it also sports similar dual cameras to the Redmi Y3. There is a 12MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP secondary depth-sensing camera. However, it sports an 8MP front camera with AI portrait mode feature.

Connectivity options on the phone include Dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a micro USB port. The Redmi Y3 also packs a big 4,000mAh battery.
