Xiaomi introduced its new sub-brand POCO in India back in August last year. The brand’s first phone POCO F1 became a huge hit as it was the most affordable phone with Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 845 chipset. Now, the company might be planning to bring its successor POCO F2 very soon.
POCO is a performance-centric brand and its next phone will also feature the powerful specs. There are rumors that Xiaomi is planning to launch a Snapdragon 855 based phone in its homeland and it could be launched as POCO F2 in India.

POCO F2 Design
The leaks suggest that the POCO 2 will come with a similar design to the Redmi Note 7 series. A leaked image of alleged Redmi Pro 2 shows that it has a gradient glass back. So, unlike the POCO F1, POCO F2 might come with a premium glass back with Gorilla Glass protection as well.
Further, the smartphone might come with full screen at the front with a high screen to body ratio. The leaked picture also shows that it does not sport a notch on top. So, it might come with a popup selfie camera design just like the Vivo or OPPO phones.

In terms of display, the POCO F2 might sport as big as 6.3-inch FHD+ IPS display. The display will also be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Further, the leaks also suggest that the POCO F2 will come with a dual camera set up at the back. There are possibilities that one of these cameras could be a 48 MP sensor just like the Redmi Note 7 Pro. Then there will be a 5MP secondary depth sensor. For selfies, it might have a 32MP front camera.

It is almost certain that POCO F2 will be powered by Qualcomm’s this year’s flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset. The device may also come with liquid cooling technology for better gaming just like its predecessor. For memory, the POCO F2 will come with at least 6GB RAM and it will also have 8GB RAM variant.

The POCO F2 will be running on the latest Android 9 Pie with Xiaomi’s upcoming MIUI 11 on top. It will also come with an improved POCO launcher just like the F1.
POCO F2 Battery and Connectivity
In terms of battery, the POCO F2 will also come with a big 4,000mAh battery just like Xiaomi’s mostly devices. It will also support Quick Charge 4. For connectivity, POCO F2 will come with dedicated slots for SIM cards and microSD. It will also come with USB Type C.
POCO F2 Price in India and Availability
If we talk about pricing, POCO India will again price its phone aggressively. So, the POCO F2 price in India may start at RS. 21,999 for the base model. The phone is expected to launch in July-August and it will be available only by then.
